On January 25, Scottie Scheffler won The American Express to pick up his 20th victory on the PGA Tour.

On February 1, Justin Rose (ENG) won the Farmers Insurance Open for his 13th tour victory.

On February 15, Collin Morikawa won the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.  That was his 7th victory on tour.

On March 8, Akshay Bhatia's win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational was his 3d victory on tour.

On March 15, Cameron Young's win at the Players was his 2d tour victory.

And now we are ready to go.

    We already have a great leaderboard. Sam Burns leads after a first round 67 left him at five under par. But McIlroy, Patrick Reed, Jason Day, Shane Lowry, and Tommy Fleetwood are all tied at 3 under. Meanwhile, Scheffler just eagled the second hole, so he's already at 2 under.

    Bryson DeChambeau is 3 over through 14. Scheffler drives the green on the par-4 third hole and two-putts for a birdie that moves him to 3 under.

    Rory McIlroy is 5 under through 16 holes. Scheffler is 3 under through 6.

    McIlroy finishes with a 67 and ties Burns for the lead at 5 under. Jason Day and Patrick Reed are finished with 69's. Justin Rose is 3 under through 8. Scheffler is 3 under through 7.

    Jordan Spieth is 2 under through 12. Justin Thomas is 2 under through 10. A lot of Southerners would be really happy if those two could stay in contention.

      Spieth has 13 wins on the PGA Tour, the last of which was the 2022 RBC Heritage.
