Quote from Mark Pope after the Michigan State Game

"We won't fail this season.  We have just failed up until today. But we will build an organization where it won't be disrupted every time someone steps in and steps out because it will actually have a TEAM identity, not an individual identity. Until we get there, we're gonna really struggle.  That's my job.  That's why Mitch brought me here.  I'm doing it poorly.  But I won't do it poorly much longer."

  7. WKU football led most of the first half at LSU last night, but I had to go to bed at halftime. Tops ended up losing by 13-10, and I'm terrified that my lack of following the second-half play-by-play was just enough to keep them from getting over.

Western's quarterback is a guy named Tisdale from Jacksonville, Florida, and I wonder if he is connected somehow to the Logan County Tisdales. There used to be quite a few Logan County Tisdales, including Fred, who was a big Logan County High School star (he might've actually been "Mr. Basketball" in the state) and then a very solid performer for WKU hoops in the 1980s.
