Each song on this album feels a bit over the top, but much of that is just how Kennedy approaches the song vocally. Allmusic, in their bio write up, compares him to Glenn Hansard and that connects for me. I don't know that there is any song on here that really jumps out to me and that is probably the biggest problem I have with it. Generally his sound is not my cup of tea but I look for that one song that I can really connect with and on here I just don't find it. Maybe if I were younger and feeling a lot of angst about love then I would connect better with it. Following the Rhapsody rating method I give the album 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.
The video looks like a Nike ad, which seems appropriate for the sound of the song.
