Kentucky High-school Football, Class 6A Round of Eight

We'll have a new state champion in Class 6A. In a rematch of last season's final, Meade County beat Scott County, 27-24, at Georgetown College in the second round of the state playoffs last Friday.

This Friday's Class 6A regional finals include three rematches of regular-season games, and all three games are back at the same sites where they were played in the regular season:

-- Louisville Saint Xavier beat Louisville Trinity, 35-21, on Oct. 3, at Papa John's Stadium.

-- Elizabethtown Central Hardin beat visiting Meade County, 15-14, in overtime on Oct. 17.

-- Edgewood Dixie Heights beat visiting Independence Simon Kenton, 36-10, on Oct. 17.
