Month of MLB: World Series Game Three

The Brewers swept the first two games of the World Series in Milwaukee, 3-2 and 5-4.  After winning 103 games in the regular season, the Brewers are now 9-1 in the post-season.  At this point, they are on one of the most impressive rolls we've ever seen.  Now they head to Tampa Bay with a chance to wrap this season up very quickly.

    1. Junior Caminero started at third base for the AL All-Stars this season. Yandy Diaz also made the All-Star team.

  3. There hasn't been a sweep in the World Series since 2012, when the Giants swept the Tigers.

  4. Ben Williamson, who plays second base for the Devil Rays, attended the College of William & Mary. Good for him!

  5. In the top of the 3d, Yelich and Contreras deliver huge singles to drive in two runs and put the Brew Crew up 2-0. Are we watching the Brewers or the Big Red Machine?

  6. Brewers lead 2-0 after 3, and I think this series is over.

  7. In the top of the 5th, the Rays appeared to escape with a double play. But on further review, the double play was waved off, and the Brewers continued batting with two outs. The Brew Crew then hammered hit after hit, blowing the game open with six runs. They now lead 8-0, and they are still batting.

  8. The Brewers are going to become the first team since the 1976 Reds to sweep the League Championship Series and the World Series, and the first team since the 2003 Red Sox to win eight consecutive games in the LCS and the World Series. They are an awesome force, and they deserve the 2026 Championship.

  9. This entry will probably complete our coverage of the 2026 MLB season, so I just want to say that this Brewers team is one of the greatest teams I've ever seen.

  10. After grinding out victory after victory for several weeks, the Brewers finally get to show off -- they score EIGHT runs with two outs in the top of the 5th, and they lead the Rays 10-0. And that's all from me for the 2026 season.

  11. On the one hand, it's obviously disappointing when the Month of MLB features so little drama. The NLCS was a sweep. The ALCS ended with three easy wins for Tampa Bay. There weren't really any big extra-inning games. But some years you just get a red-hot team that can't be stopped, and this year the Brewers were that team.
