The last time Hazard won the 14th Region was in 2020, and the State Tournament was canceled for COVID a few days later. This year, the Bulldogs are scheduled to play in the State Tournament for the first time since 2010.

Johnson Central returns to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2019.
