Each year, we hand out the Classic Football Conference Championships based on where teams are ranked at the end of the season. The team that has the highest ranking in the AP poll after the conference title games -- but before the playoff -- is the Classic Conference Champion for that year. Here are this year's champions. Shout outs to Texas Tech and Indiana, which both ended long droughts:
Classic SEC: Georgia (second title in a row)
Classic ACC: Virginia (first title since 2004)
Classic Southwest: Texas Tech (first title since joining the SWC in 1956)
Classic Big Ten: Indiana (first title since 1967)
Classic Big Eight: Oklahoma (first title since 2019)
Classic Pac Ten: Oregon (second title in a row)
