U.C.F.C. Update

Cal-Berkeley took the Big Gold Trophy to Stanford on Saturday, and the Golden Bears were hammered 31-10 by the Cardinal.  So they had to leave the Trophy in Palo Alto.  Next week, Stanford will defend the title against Notre Dame.  If the Irish win the Trophy, of course, they will have to defend it in the College Football Playoffs.  If Stanford wins, they will finish 5-7, and they will keep the Trophy until next season.

South Florida, Louisville, California, and Stanford have all held the Big Gold Trophy this year.  I did not see that coming.

  2. Vandy is 9-2 overall, 5-2 in the SEC, and Number 12 in the country. Vandy will have a winning record in the SEC for the first time since 2012. The Commodores also went undefeated at home for the first time since 1982. They also won nine games in the regular season for the first time since 1915.

  3. Vandy's season is the most amazing one I've seen since Northwestern went to the Rose Bowl in 1995. Clark Lea should get every coaching award there is. Diego Pavia should win the Heisman.

  4. I haven't seen the Rams all year, and now I'm watching them crush Tampa Bay. The score is 28-7 with 3:10 left in the first half. The Rams look awesome.

  5. The Rams got a double South schedule this year. In addition to playing the usual six games against their fellow members of the NFC West (49ers, Seahawks, Cardinals), they got four games against the AFC South (Colts, Texans, Titans, Jaguars) and four games against the NFC South (Bucs, Saints, Falcons, Panthers).

  6. It makes for a pretty easy schedule. So far, the Rams are 4-0 against the AFC South and now they are about to go 2-0 against the NFC South.

  7. Now Baker Mayfield is hurt. What a disaster for the Bucs.
