Tomorrow Louisville will play Coastal -- the Cardinals have to beat Coastal twice before the Chanticleers beat them once.

Tonight Arkansas will play U.C.L.A. in an elimination game.

  2. With two out and the bases loaded, the U.C.L.A. runner on third tried to steal home. He was thrown out and the Bruins do not score. Arkansas coming to bat in the bottom of the 1st.

  3. In the bottom of the 1st, Wehiwa Aloy crushes a two-run homer, and Arkansas leads 2-0 after one.

  4. Arkansas eliminates U.C.L.A. 7 to 3, and the Razorbacks get a rematch with LSU.

  5. For the second consecutive year, the Florida Panthers defeat the Edmonton Oilers to win the Stanley Cup. That just leaves the College World Series and the NBA Final in the 2024-25 Sports Year.

  7. It's looking really good for Coastal. The Chants have scored five runs in the top of the 1st, and there is still no one out. U of L may have finally met as team as scrappy as they are.

  8. Coastal buries Louisville 11-3. The Cardinals have reached the CWS in 2007, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2019, and 2025. They have not yet reached the finals.

  9. Coastal has been a juggernaut in this tournament. The Chants are 8-0 since the tournament began, and most of their games have not been close:

  13. In the top of the 8th, Arkansas has the bases loaded with one out. LSU still leads 2-1.

  14. The Arkansas batter appears to hit into an inning-ending double play. But the throw from second to first gets away from the first baseman. The runner from third scores, and the runner from second also comes around to score. Arkansas now LEADS 3-2. LSU challenges on the grounds that the slide at second was interference, but their challenge is REJECTED, and the Arkansas fans are calling the Hogs.

  16. Arkansas has made 12 appearances in the CWS, but has never won it. LSU has made 20 appearances in the CWS, and has won it 7 times.

  17. With two out in the bottom of the eighth, LSU wafts a HOME RUN into the right field seats, and the game is TIED at 3 runs apiece.
