For the first time since 2008, the USA has picked up a medal in men's team gymnastics. The medal count now looks like this:

4. CHN: 10 (5-3-2)
T5. KOR: 9 (5-3-1)
T5. GBR: 9 (2-4-3)
7. AUS: 7 (4-3-0)
8. ITA: 6 (1-2-3)
9. CAN: 4 (1-1-2)
10. KAZ: 3 (1-0-2)

ReplyDeleteRyder Cup: In 2023, Europe beat the USA 16 1/2 to 11 1/2 in Italy. It was Europe's fifth win in the last seven matchups.
Walker Cup: In 2023, the USA beat Great Britain and Ireland 14 1/2 to 11 1/2 at the Old Course in St. Andrews. It was the fourth win in a row for the Americans.
Solheim Cup: In 2023, the USA and Europe finished in a 14-14 tie in Spain. Since Europe had previously won the Cup 2019 and 2021, the Europeans retained the Cup.
Curtis Cup: In 2022, the USA beat GB & I 15 1/2 to 4 1/2 at Merion Golf Club. It was the third win in a row for the Americans.
Presidents Cup: In 2022, the USA beat the Rest of the World Outside of Europe 17 1/2 to 12 1/2. It was the ninth win in a row for the Americans.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the Americans currently hold the Masters (Scottie Scheffler), the U.S. Open (Bryson DeChambeau), the British Open (Xander Schauffele), and the PGA Championship (Xander Schauffele) -- the first time since 1982 that the Americans have swept all four of the majors.
