Bulli by Velvet Negroni
I'd never heard of Velvel Negroni, but I found this album interesting to listen to. It's an odd blend of music that somehow works together in an interesting way. Fun to listen to on a road trip or out on a walk with the dog.
RUSH! by Maneskin
Another band I knew nothing about before listening to this album. This is their 3rd album since 2018, they are an Italian band based out of Rome. They are a punk/pop band I think you could say with a bit of a quirky and vulgar take on things. Not my thing, but still a solid album though too long at 17 tracks.
What I Didn't Tell You (Deluxe) by Coco Jones
Coco Jones is yet another one I've never heard. She's an actress/singer who has been around for a while. She was on Disney shows and has continued to act after leaving the Disney world. She's always been recording music. What I Didn't Tell You came out back in October of 2022 it was a 7 song EP, she has now come out with a deluxe version which runs at 11 songs, so a full album. Like the other two albums in this review, it is a solid album but nothing really special about it. This is pretty standard 2023 R&B and Jones has a good voice. Wanna try some 2023 slow groove R&B I would say give this one a try.
I'm glad to see rollerskating play such a prominent role in the Velvet Negroni video, which I enjoyed a good bit. Rollerskating is huge in my house, though I specifically am not a rollerskater.
ReplyDeleteIt's currently my second-favorite song of the current seven-day cycle.
ReplyDeleteNew current No. 1 is this organ sendup of the theme to Shaft played during Sergei Volkov's short program at the Innsbruck Winter Olympics today in 1976.
