(7) Mississippi St. 4, (2) Texas 3 (Texas eliminated)

So we are down to Vanderbilt and Mississippi State for the title.  Vandy is going for its third title since 2014.  Mississippi State is going for its first title ever.

It's not possible to overstate the sadness that everyone should feel for NCSU.  The Wolfpack have a great fanbase that is usually overshadowed by their richer neighbors in Durham and Chapel Hill.  For a few weeks, NCSU had the spotlight all to itself, and it is horrible that they were eliminated in such a manner.
