The Bears beat the Vikings, 13-10, in the Week 6 Monday-night game on Oct. 23, 1972. I will be checking out the Oct. 28 Bob Newhart to see if the Hartleys celebrate the big upset.
ReplyDeleteNo coverage of Chicago's win, but we did have some sports chatter--Jerry was seeing off a former child-dental patient of his who was headed off to the University of Michigan to play for the hockey team there. He was upset that all of his good work was likely to be undone by "one puck."
