This album sounds like R&B. Modern R&B yes, but still R&B. If you took a big R&B fan from say 1974 and you brought them forward in time and told them to listen to this album they would get it. Caesar has a great R&B voice and this is a solid collection of songs. As a whole the album has a vibe to it that makes it work and feel connected.
As a whole the album is nice, though it drags a bit down the stretch for me. The only real problem with the album is that it doesn't have any songs that really stand out to me and likely I'll forget this album a week from now. This being Ceasar's first album I am interested to see what he'll do going forward. Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
