Album Review: The Search for Everything by John Mayer

John Mayer hit the scene in 2001 with his triple platinum album Room for Squares at age 24. Sixteen years later and at age 40 he's still following the same basic sound formula he used back in 2001, and it still works. He's still crafting solid pop songs that feel like they are aimed at the same audience in 2017 that they were aimed at in 2001. Still a lot of songs about relationships and some songs with deeper thoughts.

For me I've never been a big fan. I've been listening to this album now for a few months and I still struggle with the idea of picking out my favorite songs from the album. None of them really stand out for me. It's just a bunch of John Mayer songs. I'm assuming if you like John Mayer then this is a good thing and you'll like this album. Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
