NFL Poll: Week 5

The Bills figured out how to defend the Brady-less Patriots, so Denver now has the top spot in the AP's NFL Poll.  I'm pretty sure this is the first time Oakland has made the top 10:

1.  Denver Broncos:  4-0
2.  Minnesota Vikings:  4-0
3.  New England Patriots:  3-1
4.  Philadelphia Eagles:  3-0
5.  Seattle Seahawks:  3-1
6.  Pittsburgh Steelers:  3-1
7.  Green Bay Packers:  2-1
8.  Atlanta Falcons:  3-1
9.  Oakland Raiders:  3-1
10.  Baltimore Ravens:  3-1

The Redskins (2-2) moved from 20th to 19th with their win over Cleveland; the Dolphins (1-3) remained at 26th after losing the Thursday night game in Cincinnati.  Meanwhile, the wheels have fallen off for the Panthers (1-3, 16th) and Cardinals (1-3, 20th), who were supposed to repeat their strong showing from last year.  Personally, I don't miss them at all.

This week the number-1 Broncos are hosting the number-8 Falcons in the 3 o'clock slot on Sunday.  That is the only game featuring top-10 teams this week, so you will be free to enjoy the baseball playoffs, which should be excellent.

    1. Mabel and I were watching the Red Zone yesterday and she said "I don't like the Broncos and I know there is one team that cheats." I said "that's right honey, the Patriots."

    2. She's right about the Broncos, too.
