Album Review: MMM by Puff Daddy & The Family

Explicit Language

This is a concept album of sorts. The idea behind the album is introduced in the opening track. The story of a dealer who instead of either dying or going to jail made his way out of the life of crime and used the same intelligence that made him a successful drug dealer, to become a successful businessman. The problem with the concept is that it's not really flushed out. It takes such a Godfather like view of this reality. It's though we can't really envision this person becoming a successful business man unless he does it as a gangster.

Anyway, the album has moments that work but all in all it feels juvenile. Still there are plenty of tracks you can pull off of here for your workout mix. Following the Rhapsody rating method I give the album 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.
