AP NFL Poll: Week 9

Here's the latest top 10 in the NFL, according to the AP.  It's odd to see the Patriots so low and the Lions so high:

1.  Seattle Seahawks:  7-1
2.  Kansas City Chiefs:  8-0
3.  Denver Broncos:  7-1
4.  New Orleans Saints:  6-1
5.  San Francisco 49ers:  6-2
6.  Indianapolis Colts:  5-2
7.  Green Bay Packers:  5-2
8.  Cincinnati Bengals:  6-2
9.  New England Patriots:  6-2
10.  Detroit Lions:  5-3

The Dolphins are now down to 19, the Redskins (who were humiliated in Denver last week) are still at 23.

On the other hand, the Dolphins just beat the Bengals on Thursday night -- with a rare overtime safety -- so the Bengals will probably out of the top 10, while the Dolphins will move up.

The Broncos, Lions, and 49ers have byes this week.  This means that the Broncos and Chiefs will miss each other again -- it's odd for them to go so deep into the season without playing one another.  In fact, there are no games featuring two top-10 teams this week.  The best game of this week was supposed to be Pittsburgh at New England, but the Steelers are having a pretty poor year by their standards.

  1. I literally jumped up and down when my main man, Cam Wake, got that game-winning safety Thursday night. Hooray for football and television!
