AP NFL Poll Week 12

As we told you would happen, the Chiefs lost in Denver last Sunday night, so the AP's NFL poll has a new number one:

1.  Seattle Seahawks:  10-1
2.  Denver Broncos:  9-1
3.  Kansas City Chiefs:  9-1
4.  New Orleans Saints:  8-2
5.  Carolina Panthers:  7-3
6.  New England Patriots:  7-3
7.  Indianapolis Colts:  7-3
8.  San Francisco 49ers:  6-4
9.  Cincinnati Bengals:  7-4
10.  Detroit Lions:  6-4

The Dolphins (5-5) moved up to 17th; the Redskins (3-7) are down to 27th.  The Redskins, Vikings (30th) and Falcons (31st) all made the playoffs last year, and are now among the worst teams in football.

Once again, the game of the week is on Sunday night, with the # 2 Broncos traveling to New England for a game with the # 6 Patriots.  NBC says it's the 14th meeting between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady; it certainly feels like they played each other a lot more times than that.  This is the only game this week featuring two top-10 teams.

1 comment:

  1. With Miami's win and the Chiefs' loss, the Dolphins are now within four games of top overall seed for the AFC playoffs.
