Album Review: For the Good Times by The Little Willies

The Little Willies is one of those super groups. A group of successful musicians who get together and form a band. Often it's simply because they want a chance to do something fun with their musician friends. That apparently was the case with The Little Willies back in 2003. Mostly their time is spent touring as a group as a chance to play together and The Little Willies focus is primarily Americana music from songwriters like Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, etc.

My guess is if you like Norah Jones and her friends then you'll like whatever they do. They are professional musicians and they are never going to put out junkie music. My guess is their performances are very good. If you're not a big fan of Norah Jones and her friends, I'm not sure this album is going to win you over.

I point out Norah Jones because she's the primary lead. Personally I'm not the biggest Norah Jones and so for me this album falls a bit flat. Norah Jones doing "Fist City" just doesn't work for me.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.
