Album Review: Fastlife by Joe Jonas

There is bubble gum dance pop and then there is star driven bubble gum dance pop. Joe Jonas is a big star and so when he sets out to create his first solo album there is a lot of attention and care to that release and so we end up with an album like Fastlife.

In twenty years if you want a representative album of dance pop from 2011 then this album would be a perfect choice. For Jonas they got the top producers and songwriters and produced a very down the middle dance pop album. There is nothing flashy here, but nothing bad either. The album simply is what it is and for what it is it works.

The oddest thing to me is that the album came out in October when it definitely plays much more like a summer album. In fact it's the kind of album you throw on while washing the car. Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
