Album Review: The Lady Killer by Cee Lo Green

The Lady Killer [Explicit]Who's the best R&B singer today, it's Cee Lo Green.  There is no question he's the best right now and so any album he put out right now you know is going to be good.  He's just got that touch right now.

Of course one of the things that makes Green so good is that he is not afraid to try on any kind of song.  There are hints here of R&B from early 60's to late 00's.  It's all connected by Green's abilities and so even though eclectic it works.

That being said at 16 tracks it is too long.  Double albums that work are rare and this is getting into double album length.  Trimming this back would help the punch of this album quite a bit.

I could see playing this for pretty much any reason.  You could work out to it, clean to it, dance to it, read to it, whatever.  Good songs and a great singer.

The length temps me to give it only 2 stars, but there are too many good songs for that.  Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 3 out of 5 stars for Pretty Good.

My 12 track version of the album.
1. Bright Lights Bigger City
2. Wildflower
3. Bodies
4. Love Gun
5. Satisfied
6. I Want You
7. Cry Baby
8. Fool For You
9. It's OK
10. No One's Gonna Love You
11. The Lady Killer Theme (Outro)
12. Grand Canyon
