Tour De France: Stage 17

A big big day today.  The last mountain stage, finishing atop one of the most famous climbs in all of cycling.  Andy Schleck eight seconds back, and not a very good time trialists, knew if he wanted to win this Tour it had to be won today on this climb.  He couldn't do it.  Try as he might he could not drop Contador who just hung on to him.  Of course anything can happen in the final time trial so it isn't over, but it is now Contador's to lose.  The King of the Mountains wrapped up today and that went to a Frenchman so that's good.  Also, I haven't talked about this, but the team competition has been great and Radioshack made a big push today in that competition to try and secure the overall victory.

Sprint stage tomorrow.
