Sun Belt Final Standings

Western Kentucky played a little better down the stretch -- they beat Louisiana Monroe, Louisiana Lafayette, and South Alabama before almost knocking off MTSU in their last game (the Blue Raiders trailed by 3 with 5 1/2 minutes to go, but pulled out a 70-62 victory).  So we will hope that Western can make the same type of miracle run through the Sun Belt Tournament that they pulled off last year.  They start with a game against Louisiana Monroe on Friday.  Ken Pomeroy gives them an 87 percent chance of advancing to a match-up with South Alabama in the quarter-finals.

Here are the final standings (conference games only, with KenPom's rankings next to each team).  As you will see, MTSU is an overwhelming favorite to win the Sun Belt Tournament:

EAST:
27.  Mid. Tenn. St:  19-1
193.  S. Alabama:  14-6
204.  Fla. Int'l:  11-9
187.  W. Kentucky:  10-10
229.  Fla. Atlantic:  9-11
276.  Troy:  6-14

WEST:
123.  Arkansas St:  12-8
216.  Ark-Little Rock:  11-9
241.  La-Lafayette:  8-12
232.  N. Texas St:  7-13
328.  La-Monroe:  3-17
