Bowling Green Warren East (AP 4A No. 7) at Allen County-Scottville--The visiting Raiders got a vote for No. 1 in Class 4A, the only vote for the top of the poll that Highlands has not received in several weeks.

Mortons Gap Hopkins County Central at Lone Oak (AP 4A No. 10)

Bowling Green (AP 5A No. 1) at Bowling Green Warren Central (AP 5A No. 3)--From the Bowling Green media notes for this game: "This contest will be the 44th meeting between BGHS and Warren Central and is the second consecutive year that both teams enter the game undefeated. The series began in 1974 and BGHS has won 31 of the 43 contests. Since 1994, BGHS is 17-4 against the Dragons. The Purples are 9-2 in the last 11 games, outscoring the Dragons 381-113 during that span. BGHS is12-6 at WCHS, going 12-3 since 1988."
Anderson County (AP 5A No. 7) at Franklin County (AP 5A No. 4)--Per Frankfort's State Journal: "Franklin County will be playing for its second straight district title Friday night. Both the Flyers and Anderson County come into the game with 3-0 district records, and everyone else in the district has at least two district losses."

Edgewood Dixie Heights 21, Independence Simon Kenton (AP 6A No. 8) 15--That's two losses in three games for Kenton.

Madisonville-North Hopkins at Calloway County--A win for the home team "would turn some heads after three tumultuous years for the Lakers under the former regime, as well as turn the 2012 season into one the school can look back on as a great success," writes Jack Kees of the Murray Ledger & Times. 

Barlow Ballard Memorial at Crittenden County
Monroe County (AP 3A No. 8), Lexington Catholic (AP 4A No. 2) and Union Randall K. Cooper (AP 5A No. 6) are idle this weekend.

  9. Um, yes, it appears that 5A No. 7 Anderson County 52 at 5A No. 4 Franklin County 56 was, indeed, the game of the week--the game of weeks and weeks and weeks, in fact. Check out the walk-off kickoff return for touchdown that won it for the home team.
