Album Review: Take Care, Take Care, Take Care by Explosions in the Sky

Take Care, Take Care, Take CareI'm not the biggest fan of instrumental rock and this particular album feels to me a bit over the top on every song.  Like every moment of our lives are some sort of over the top anthemic moment.  The instrumental rock that I do tend to like is a bit more subdued than this and a could fit into the background of my day providing for instance great driving music on a warm spring day.  This album is too intrusive all in all, a bit long and a bit over the top for me.

If you are making a film of your child's life to give to them after graduating college, then I could see pulling something off of here.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.

  1. I recently met a guy playing classical guitar at a public park in Murray, and he said his stepfather had played with Mason Williams.

  2. Now on terrific, totally satisfying Mason Williams jag. Makes me want to play board games, eat Doo Dads and drink 7 Up from bottles.
