Album Review: Atavist by Otep

Otep is correctly named after their lead singer Otep Shamaya.  She is the distinguishing feature of this band and really the only thing that makes their sound interesting. 

I'm not a big fan of this type of metal, whatever it is labeled, but Shamaya is hard to ignore.  I can't recommend this album, but if you like bands like Korn and you don't know these guys they are worth a listen just for her.

If you are in the mood for some metal I could see picking a song off of here for a mix tape. 

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.
