Slovenia 11 - 23 USA (End of 1st Quarter)

Slovenia, like Croatia, comes out of the old Yugoslavian basketball tradition. Yugoslavia won this tournament in 1970, 1978, and 1990. A smaller version of Yugoslavia (basically just Serbia and Montenegro) won the tournament in 1998 and 2002. So the Slovenes know what they are doing. They've settled into the game somewhat. We'll see if they can make a run in the second quarter.
