It's good news for Madisonville that the name of our newest ex-mayor didn't turn up on the list of folks filing for statewide-office candidacies.
In Pineville last night, the home team laid a 68-26 beatdown on Red Bird to advance into the 13th Region All-A Classic boys' basketball semifinals with Barbourville, Harlan and Lynn Camp. The regional champion gets Heath in next week's state tournament in Richmond.
