Thirty-Two Franchises: Indianapolis Colts

Have participated in the NFL since the 1953 season.  Not to be confused with the Baltimore Colts who participated in the AAFC from 1947 to 1949, and who also appeared in the NFL in 1950.  That team, which went 11-40-1 between 1947 and 1950, is defunct.

1953-1983:  Baltimore Colts:  222-194-7 (.534)
1984-2025:  Indianapolis Colts:  342-316-1 (.520)

Top Passer:  Peyton Manning (54,828 yds)
Top Rusher:  Edgerrin James (9,226 yds)

Johnny Unitas went 117-60-4 as a starter for the Colts.  He threw for 39,768 yds for the franchise.

Peyton Manning went 141-67-0 as a starter for the Colts, and 45-12-0 as a starter for the Broncos.

Archie Manning, father to Peyton and Eli, played in the NFL from 1971 through 1984.  He went 35-101-3 as a starter, and he threw for 23,911 yds, 125 TD's, and 173 interceptions.

Top All-Time Player Based on Approximate Value:  Peyton Manning (AV of 219)

Peyton Manning's total AV for his career, including his time at Denver, is 271.  That puts him in third place all time.
