Fourteen to go. Argh:

And now the new guy from Australia still has one more game to play down there.

11 comments:

  1. Washington has lost seven of its last 10 games.

  5. Having led the Sydney Kings to a second-straight NBL championship last week, Xavier Cooks officially joined the Wizards yesterday (but did not play against the Cavs). I can’t find that anyone has reported when the 27-year-old, slender and 6-foot-8 power forward from Ballarat, Australia, (and Winthrop University) will start playing for Washington. But it does appear to me that his Cooks's leading us to 12 straight wins to close the regular season would get the Wizards solidly in to the play-in tournament.

  6. Seven losses in the last nine game for the Wizards, still No. 22 in Zach Harper’s NBA power rankings for The Athletic. The latest was at home, 132-118, to the Kings.

    Eleven to go:

    1. Bucks 51-20 …
    6. Nets 39-32, 12 games back
    7. Heat 39-34, 13
    8. Hawks 35-36, 16
    9. Raptors 35-37, 16.5
    10. Bulls 33-37, 17.5
    T11. Pacers 32-39, 19
    T11. Wizards 32-39, 19
    13. Magic 29-43, 22.5

My main man from Ballarat, Xavier Cooks, made his NBA debut Saturday and logged two rebounds and a turnover in six minutes of action.
