NFL Poll: Week 5

The Pats and Chiefs both survived road games last week -- against the Bills and Lions, respectively -- and now they are the only remaining undefeated teams.  Here is the AP's latest top 10:

1.  New England:  4-0
2.  Kansas City:  4-0
3.  New Orleans:  3-1
4.  Dallas:  3-1
5.  Los Angeles:  3-1
6.  Seattle:  3-1
7.  Chicago:  3-1
8.  Green Bay:  3-1
9.  San Francisco:  3-0
10.  Buffalo:  3-1

The Redskins are number 30.  The Dolphins are number 32.  I'm pretty sure the Redskins are ranked too high.

The game of the week is Sunday afternoon in Dallas, where the Cowboys are hosting the Packers.  I would certainly watch this game if it were in Texas Stadium, if it were on CBS, and if Pat Summerall were on the mike.  As it is, we'll have to wait and see.

The Rams are playing the Seahawks in what should be a good game.  But it's a Thursday night game, and I think all Thursday night games should feature the Titans, the Jaguars, or both.  In October, I'm not ready for pro football until I get home from church on Sunday.

There are no other games featuring two top-10 teams.
