Album Review: Part of the Light by Ray LaMontagne

So if you take early Van Morrison and Harry Chapin and Jethro Tull you get what I think are the main influences to Ray LaMontagne. For me this doesn't add up to a very good recipe so maybe I'm not the best person to review his music. This doesn't mean he doesn't occasionally hit on a song I like but in the end he's not really my speed.

If you like Ray LaMontagne or you like the idea of combining those artist and you don't know him then give the album a listen. It's a solid nine songs of his work.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give the album 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.
