Oh, Kentucky

For now, anyway, Sen. McConnell is supporting national-monument status for the Nancy site of the 1862/"Zolly's Folly"/Battle of Mill Springs/Logan's Cross/Fishing Creek.

Per the Kentucky State Police, via The Springfield Sun, the number of concealed handgun permits issued in the state increased by about 240 percent from 2007 to 2016, to about 437,000.

Good jobs news from Hebron.

The (indispensable) Kentucky Center for Investigative Reporting is hiring for a managing editor.

The U.S. Women's Open starts tomorrow, and I will be rooting for Princeton's Emma Talley.
