Life on the Road

On Saturday, UK went to Lawrence, Kan. to play the Kansas Jayhawks.  With 13:54 left in the game, the Cats led 57 to 49.  They ended up losing 90 to 84 in overtime.  For the game, UK shot 22 free throws.  Kansas shot 47.

On Tuesday, UK went to Knoxville, Tenn. to play the Tennessee Volunteers.  With 5:46 left in the first half, the Cats led 34 to 13.  They ended up losing 84 to 77.  For the game, UK shot 23 free throws.  Tennessee shot 34.

Here's another way to think about it.  In the last two games, the Cats got 31 points at the line.  Their opponents got 60 points at the line.

The Cats are now down to 25 on Ken Pomeroy.  He expects them to finish 11-7 in the SEC, and 21-10 overall.

By the way, no Kentucky team has ever won the National Championship without winning in Knoxville.  Just ask John Wall.
