High School Boys' Basketball Poll

We're getting close to the end of the regular season in boys' basketball -- the district tournaments will start next week.  Once again, no team will finish the season undefeated -- Brewers's 36-0 record in 1948 remains the last KHSAA team to win all of its games.  Mercer County is 27-1, but the Titans were drubbed 77-59 by Lexington Lafayette in early February.  Nevertheless, Mercer County remains number 2 in the AP poll, as they and Christian County try to hold off the Bluegrass Establishment.  There are some real Blue Bloods on this list:

1.  Christian Co:  22-2
2.  Mercer Co:  27-1
3.  Scott Co:  25-3
4.  Cov. Catholic:  21-6
5.  Bowling Green:  23-2
6.  Lou. Male:  23-3
7.  Lex. Dunbar:  22-6
8.  Lex. Henry Clay:  23-5
9.  Lou. Trinity:  22-6
10.  Bullitt East:  22-4

  1. It turns out that this was the last poll of the year, so we will use these rankings as we go through the State Tournament.
