Album Review: Summer in the Winter by Kid Ink

Adult Content

Often I forget that there is a group of rap artists who are most interested in producing pop/hip-hop. This album falls into that category and it's a solid collection of 11 songs that all have good hooks and beats and so accomplishes what Kid Ink is trying to do. The odd thing with this album to me is how negative it is off and on. For a pop album he's falling into the same trap of so many other male artists right now in R&B and hip-hop, that is complaining about all the people, especially women, hanging on because of the money. This is best heard on the song "Bank." Anyhow this album does what it does and you can easily pull songs off here for working out or for a mix tape.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
