Oh, Kentucky

So, with rain in the forecast (sort of) for Saturday, the Madisonville government on Thursday evening switched the city's sanctioned "trick-or-treat" hours from Saturday (Halloween) to Friday.

And then the comments got a-flowing, baby:

Why in the hell does the government think they have the power to tell us when we can celebrate the holiday anyways … I guess if it snows Christmas we will celebrate on another day too … More people will be driving home from work on Friday than on Saturday. I don't think they thought this through … The weather forecast changes like every ten minutes … I can barely afford candy for one night, let alone two … The mayor said you can Trick or Treat both days but he'll have to come up with a new tax for you to pay in order to do so …  And this of course is posted after 4 so the city is closed, so what's the point on posting your phone number. Low blow Madisonville. … Madisonville is like Obama,,,Make your own Rules...

Happy Halloween from the Best Town on Earth.
