College Baseball Update: Vandy!

Vanderbilt is the defending National Champion of college baseball.  The Commodores went 47-19 this year, and finished ahead of Florida in the SEC East with a conference record of 20-10 (the Gators went 19-11).  Despite these facts, the NCAA in its wisdom decided not to make Vandy one of the eight national seeds.  But Vandy has persevered, winning eight consecutive games in the NCAA Tournament so far.  The Commodores' 7-1 win over Texas Christian last night put Vandy in the NCAA Baseball finals for the second year in a row.  Vandy will play either Florida or UVA, who meet tonight to decide who advances from Bracket A.

BRACKET A:
Virginia 5, Arkansas 3
Florida 15, Miami (Fla.) 3
Miami (Fla.) 4, Arkansas 3 (Arkansas eliminated)
