Last Friday in Western Kentucky

Here are the high school football scores from Friday the 13th in western Kentucky (home teams listed first).  We already knew that Caldwell County was really good.  But what's up with Ballard?

Ballard Mem. 64 - 27 Webster Co.
Calloway Co. 19 - 3 Marshall Co.
Christian Co. 13 - 49 Ft. Campbell

Fulton Co. 0 - 49 S. Fulton (Tenn.)
Hopkinsville 17 - 45 Madisonville-N. Hopkins
Mayfield 28 - 18 Murray
Paducah Tilghman 27 - 30 Graves Co. (OT)
Trigg Co. 13 - 49 Caldwell Co. (139 Bowl)
Union Co. 43 - 6 Crittenden Co.

Other games of note:

Russellville beat Logan County 69-0!
Bowling Green beat Owensboro 41-7
Lou. Trinity fell to 1-3 after a 42-28 loss to Colerain (Ohio).  The Shamrocks have yet to play an in-state game, and their multiple losses against out-of-state competition will make their usual waltz to the 6A title even more embarrassing than usual.  Of course, the game that we would all like to see -- but won't -- is a match-up between Bowling Green and Trinity.  The sportswriters in Kentucky should be trying to make that happen.
