Album Review: Volume 3 by She & Him

She & Him are not changing their formula at all on Volume 3, so if you like their first two albums you'll like this one. I think that Zooey Deschanel has grown as a singer and a songwriter, but other than that there isn't a whole lot new here.

These albums are all good as background music for a game night or dinner party.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.

  1. For my money, this is a perfect pop song. I heard them play it on Letterman a few weeks ago, and they didn't seem to deter from this studio version even one iota. I think She & Him is a totally disciplined pop marvel, in the Burt Bacharach model.

On a related note of Zooey Deschanel exuberance, there is no better movie ever than (500) Days of Summer (500 stars, highly recommended).
