Album Review: The 20/20 Experience by Justin Timberlake

The simplest way to describe this album is boring. There just isn't much life to this album, and though it could easily sit in the background while you do work or play a game, I can't imagine it getting play for much else.

I was excited to hear this album and hoping for something good, but it is disappointing. It has moments on and off, but even those fail to excite the listener. Take for example the song "Strawberry Bubblegum." It's a pretty good song, probably my favorite on the album, but here is the problem. It literally takes a minute to get going and when the song kicks into its second act at around the 6 minute mark quite honestly you're ready to move on and the transition to the second half just doesn't work. That is pretty much the problem throughout the album. Many songs are long two part acts but neither act does much of interest.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.

  1. This record would've gotten about four stars had Cathy Dennis come out with it.

  2. Hey, check out how much Justin Timberlake's record from this year looks like Saga's from 2012.
