More Girls' Regionals

Games start in about half an hour. I have no issue with any of these teams, but, given that sports is more fun when you pick a side, I'm rooting tonight for ...

-- Letcher County Central (because it's the away team) over Perry County Central in the 14th Region, which tips off at 6 Central at Perry County Central High in Barbourville;

-- Boyd County (because I have a friend who went there) over Ashland Blazer in the 16th Region, which tips off at 6 Central at Morehead State University;

-- Anderson County (because I want to read John Herndon's Tweets from the Sweet Sixteen) over Independence Simon Kenton in the Eighth Region, which tips off at 6 Central at North Oldham High in Goshen;

-- Lincoln County (because I love the radio station there) over Casey County in the 12th Region, which tips off at 6 Central at Pulaski County High in Somerset;

-- Richmond Madison Central (because Richmond's smaller than Lexington) over Lexington Lafayette in the 11th Region, which tips off at 6:30 Central at Eastern Kentucky University;

-- Marshall County (because of Mary Taylor Cowles) over Murray in the First Region, which tips off at 7 Central at Murray State University;

-- Henderson County (because I lived in Henderson for a while) over Hopkinsville University Heights in the Second Region, which tips off at 7 Central at Caldwell County High in Princeton;

-- Allen County-Scottsville (because I watched Jim McDaniels today) over Bowling Green in the Fourth Region, which tips off at 7 Central at Western Kentucky University;

-- Louisville DuPont Manual (because it's a public school, isn't it?) over Louisville Assumption in the Seventh Region, which tips off at 7 Central at Valley High School in Louisville, and

-- LaRue County (because it would be a huge upset) over Marion County in the Fifth Region, which tips off at 7:30 Central at Green County High in ... hmm? ... it's not Greenville. That'll be the first thing I look up late tonight when I get back online.

Incidentally, they've bumped (at least) the 10th Region final--Montgomery County vs. Campbell County--until tomorrow because of a big snow storm.
