Album Review: Lioness: Hidden Treasures by Amy Winehouse

There is something about albums that come out after an artist has died, especially during the same year as their death, that is just kinda morbid and depressing.  The content of this album is fine, but for me it carries a bit of an ich factor.

Also as you listen through this album you come to realize just how far Winehouse had collapsed.  This album contains recordings from the beginning to the end of her career and you can hear the slip in her voice, the loss of energy, it's quite sad.  She had a wonderful talent and a lot of fans but she simply slipped away in front of us all.

If you are a big Winehouse fan I could see wanting this album, but I would actually recommend staying away from it.  Remember her from Back to Black.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.
