  2. I remember a big starling invasion in Paducah in the late 1970's. For weeks, it seemed, my brother and I were sent out every evening to bang on pots and pans in an effort to drive the starlings away from our house. Hoptown has my sympathy.

  3. I, too, remember the starlings and mourn the passing of Kenlake's golf course. I am excited to see what they choose to do with the old golf space, however. Go, Kenlake! Go, Hoptown!
