Last Night's Boys' Basketball Scores

Only four games last night, so 62 teams are still dancing.  Ballard and Trinity -- the two best teams in the Commonwealth -- reached the 7th Region Final.  That game, which tips off at 2 PM on Saturday, should be the high school game of the year in Kentucky.

7th Region Semi-Finals (at Louisville Valley):
Lou. Ballard 59, Lou. Male 49
Lou. Trinity 52, Lou. Central 41

16th Region Quarter-Finals (at Morehead State):
Rowan Co. 66, Morgan Co. 50
Russell 77, Boyd Co. 69

Tonight there are only four games across the Commonwealth, but one of them is a biggie:  Bullitt East (29-4) will meet PRP (23-7) in a 6th Region Semi-Final.  Last year, this was the Regional Final, and Bullitt East won 47-44 at the buzzer.  PRP will be looking for revenge tonight.

Yes, that's right, Ballard lost the state title game in 2003, 2007, and 2010. Plus they were the only team to challenge Trinity last year. They may be due for a breakthrough.
