Oh, Kentucky

The Olympics are coming, and a former WKU swimmer is going!

Lexington Herald-Leader's Mark Story spins a good one on Prestonsburg's NASCAR legend.

In Somerset, "WETS WIN!"

Facebook spurs a tribute to an Edgewood teacher.

A one-owner, 111-year-old home in Columbia is on the market for $189,000.

On to Tompkinsville, rolls the Kentucky Historical Society.

And to Hoptown--for the Western Kentucky State Fair.

Checking in on West Liberty.

Good jobs news from Louisville. Really good.

  1. In March 2009, Mark Story wrote a column for the Lexington Herald-Leader arguing that UK should keep Billy Gillispie as the coach of its men's basketball team.

  2. In February 1981, I opined in the Heath Middle School Pirate Press that the Barbara Mandrell & the Mandrell Sisters was better than WKRP in Cincinnati.

  3. That's much more defensible than what Story wrote.
