As Eric reported, there were two thrilling quarter-finals last night:
Henderson Co. 1, Newport Cent. Catholic 0 (9 innings)
Meade Co. 4, Ashland Blazer 2
That sets up tonight's semi-finals:
Bishop Brossart Mustangs (27-12) v. Woodford Co. Yellowjackets (32-6)
Henderson Co. Colonels (28-13) v. Meade Co. Green Wave (27-9)
Even I know how to get from Brandenburg to Henderson, but I don't like driving along the Ohio River as much as Eric does -- too many memories of piano recitals in Owensboro.
The key to this drive is to actually veer off the four-lane new U.S. 60 and go through the downtowns at Cloverport and Hawesville.
