College Baseball Update

Once again, FSU has been eliminated from the College World Series. The Noles, who are almost given a very generous draw by the NCAA and who always fail once they get to Omaha, were eliminated 10-3 by Arizona yesterday. The Wildcats advance to the title game for the first time since 1986. The ACC still hasn't won the CWS since the 1950's.

Meanwhile, South Carolina played like champions yesterday. After beating Kent State with a two-hitter in the early afternoon, the Gamecocks threw a three-hitter at Arkansas in the nightcap. Carolina beat Arkansas 2-0 to set up a winner-take-all game in Bracket Two at 8 PM CDT. The winner will meet Arizona in a best 2 out of 3 series for the National Championship.
