Last Night's Boys' Basketball Score

Actually, it turned out to be a one-team tournament, not a two-team tournament. Scott County wasn't much more competitive with Trinity than anyone else had been. The Shamrocks were up 31-20 at the half, and they cruised to a 71-53 win. So Trinity brings the title back to Louisville for the first time since 2006, and they add their first basketball title to their 21 football titles. Few teams have ever blown through the seven games required to win a state title with more ease than Trinity. As you can see below, Ballard was the only team to give them a game:

Lou. Trinity 63, Lou. Male 44
Lou. Trinity 58, Lou. Ballard 55
Lou. Trinity 67, Lou. St. Xavier 46
Lou. Trinity 52, Bullitt East 32
Lou. Trinity 62, George Rogers Clark 39
Lou. Trinity 56, Pulaski Southwestern 47
Lou. Trinity 71, Scott Co. 53

So it wasn't the most entertaining run to the title in state history, but it was definitely one of the most impressive.
